Its been a crazy year since I last updated the site. So much has happened. I have seen the numbers at the clinic rise from 40 per week to over 100 per week. There is a new member to the team, Kemila, a sports rehabilation specialist and chartered physio who is doing a great job. She now handles all the golf fitness testing. We have been featured as a regular advice page in Golf Punk magazine (to date we have been in 8 issues) as well as featuring in 5 Men's Fitness, 6 Cycling Weekly, and many other magazines and publications. We have been doing more lectures on the circuit, and working with increasing numbers of golfers both amateur and professional. I have set up another website www.croydonphysio.co.uk and to top off a phenominal year, i had another opportunity to play golf with Monty. Thank you to our clients, the professionals the coaches and the friends who have supported us...you know it means a lot to me. Best wishes. Tim

Tim attended a very good 2-day conference for physios this weekend. The course gave useful insight into profiling and training golfers.

The lecture at The Belfry went superbly well and the feedback was excellent - for those pro's who were not on the course, there is another lecture due to be held at Westerham golf club on January 25th see the PGA CPD book for more detials.

Tim had a brilliant time with some of the hottest young talent in the UK this week at Woodhall Spa for the England U21 training camp. Thanks to Lynn Booth for making it happen.

Check out November '05 issue of Golf Punk magazine where Tim is featured showing Golf Nurse some power exercises. Bring it on!

Tim had the most fantastic day courtesy of Rita Livesey of ECCO shoes where he had the pleasure of assisting Colin Montgomerie around 18 holes of The Grove, Herts. Colin was in great form and everyone had a brilliant day! See photos.

Tim recently accepted an invitation from ECCO to The British Orthopaedic Foundation Charity Finals Day organised by the fabulous Jackie Alliss and was presented with the prize by Peter Alliss and Lord Maclaurin. Picture to follow.

Tim recently received confirmation that the PGA would like two days of lectures to be held at The Belfry on 30th November 2005 and at Westerham Golf Club on 25th January 2006. The lectures will be on golf biomechanics and exercise prescription.

It was a pleasure to meet Peter Thomson, one of only two men to win the Open five times, and over 25 European events. Tim met him at an official opening of The Links, at Brora golf club. Peter was keen to get some expert advice on what he could do for his arthritic toes which often limits his golf to 9 holes.

Tim has headed up to Northern Scotland to assit a truely remarkable challenge - to hit a golf ball from John O Groats to Lands End, and in doing so is helping to set a World Record for "The World's Longest Golf Hole". A truely phenominal challenge. I can report to date David has suffered no serious injuries, just some tightness in the hamstrings, calves and shins. He has taken over 50,000 shots to reach Inverness and continues southwards to Gleneagles. Check out David's website (which has my day-to-day updates on it) http://golfchallenge2005.com

Tim has spent two more days with the Cranfield Golfing Pros to teach them advanced biomechanics. The feedback has been superb from pro's and clients alike on the biomechanical analysis performed by the CGA due to Tim's involvement. The CGA continues to keep their pro's way ahead of the game when it comes to their knowledge of mechanical function.

Tim is delighted to have received notification from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy that he has been approved as a Chartered Physiotherapist as well as being State Registered.

Tim and Scott Cranfield have finally completed a biomecahnical profiling assesment protocol which they have been working on for the last few weeks to assess and prevent potential injuries in unsuspecting golfers. The profiling allows exercise prescription from those pro's who have attended extra training in anatomy and biomechanics which will reduce injuries and raise awareness of the benefits of healthy exercise.

Tim recently attended a superb seminar by Pat Smillie, ELGA National Coach, and Lynn Booth ELGA/EGU chief physio. There was a lot of useful information which came out of the conference, especially regarding the profiling of elite juniors.

Tim was invited back to the Cranfield Golf Academy to present an advanced lecture on proprioception, hand-eye co-ordination, and balance. The lecture went well, and there was a good response from the pro's who attended.

Semi-Professional golfer David Sullivan has requested the expertise of Tim Allardyce to prepare him for his Guiness World Record attempt at hitting golf balls from John O'Groats to Lands End. Tim has set up a complete programme of treatment and preventative care to make sure that David's body is best prepared for this enormous mental and physical challenge.
